My wife, Debbie and I were so thrilled with our celebrant, Simone Lewis-Cocks, who conducted our wedding on 9th November, 2013 at the Banjo Patterson Cottage Restaurant in Gladesville.
Simone's thoughtfulness and professionalism gave our special day the most magical beginning.
We couldn't thank her enough for all the help and recommendations she contributed to our wedding.
Firstly, I had never proposed to my wife and so she suggested I propose at the start of the ceremony, this was the most romantic moment and Debbie was so surprised and happy!
Our parents flew in from China and though they didn't understand everything, they were an integral part of our ceremony. We miss them very much and this inclusion meant so much to them and to us.
Simone gave us a beautiful gift of our ceremony wording after the wedding but she also emailed it to us so we could translate it for our parents. We also had the ceremony video- taped so they can now show it to everyone back home and have the wording in Chinese too.
As we are from China, we were looking for a celebrant who could help us create a special but typical Australian outdoor wedding ceremony. Outdoor ceremonies are very rare in China and so Simone's professionalism and expertise meant we could totally rely on her to make it magnificent. We didn't have any experience of this kind of ceremony and had never been to one in Australia either.
Simone understood and really spent time patiently working it out with us when creating our personally hand crafted ceremony. Simone puts lots of effort into realising the important things we wanted to say to each other, both written in front of each other and privately. We wrote our personal vows, with Simone’s help, but didn’t tell each other until our wedding day.
All the guests felt really emotionally touched by our romantic and beautiful ceremony, which needless to say gave such a perfect start to our day.
Simone's attention to detail and wealth of experience made our wedding flow fluently and perfectly. Honestly, we must say choosing Simone was the very best decision we ever could have made. She helped us choose the venue, suggested suppliers she has worked with and trusts and suggested all sorts of personal touches that meant it was more beautiful than we could have possibly imagined!

Dear Simone, We wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for being the 'Conductor' of our wedding day. Your calm and easy manner, combined with your ability to ensure Franziska and I knew where to be (and when), made for a perfect day. We appreciated your advice on how to keep our ceremony simple but memorable, and we received many compliments on the ceremony from our family and friends. The fact you managed all of the administration leading up to the the wedding also meant we could concentrate on the remainder of the planning without any worries over the paperwork. One of the things which sticks in our minds is how you worked with us to make sure the photographer had the best opportunity to take memorable photos - how to stand during the ceremony, how to hold the rings, where to put our hands for signing the certificate. Simone, Denis and I want to say a huge thank you for making the most important part of our wedding so perfect last Sunday.
Naturally Denis and I were both in a bit of a fluster with the prospect of being about to be married, and the change of plans due to the weather made us not quite sure how things would be set up/work on the day.
You were so professional from the start, helping us with all the million small things at our first meeting, going through in fine detail our music choices and how they matched each aspect of the ceremony (and making sure that one song wasn't too loud and the other too quiet!), helping us pick out the wine box idea, making sure that both of our individual vows synced well with what the other person was going to say, and reassuring us with our families and who can do what and participate in a way that would be special to both us and them.
On the day you were amazing at reminding the boys what to do and where to stand (when they were late), and having a general calming and gentle presence-this is a testament to your passion for what you do and made all the difference for us, and our decision to choose you as our celebrant so easy.
During the ceremony with all that was going on, from your subtle hints to stand a fraction to the side for better photos, to telling our story to our guests which made the whole thing more special and emotional were things that both Denis and I noticed, as did many of the guests who told us afterwards.
