Kate Armon is an award winning Australian celebrant with over 20 years of experience in Australia and New Zealand, known for crafting ceremonies that are deeply personal, engaging, and grounded in authentic storytelling. With a background in film and television, Kate brings a strong narrative lens to her work, creating ceremonies that feel both meaningful and memorable.
While Kate works across both weddings and funerals, she has a particular passion for funeral work, supporting families through some of life’s most difficult moments with care, empathy, and a deep respect for story and legacy. She works alongside her husband, bringing a collaborative approach to ceremony creation, grounded in the belief that two hearts are often better than one when it comes to honouring life’s most important moments.
Her contribution to the celebrancy industry extends beyond her own ceremonies. Kate is the founder of the global Facebook community Celebrants from Around the World, connecting over 700 celebrants across multiple countries, as well as Celebrants of the Future, a supportive space for those beginning their journey in the profession. Both communities continue to foster connection and shared knowledge across the industry.
Kate is also an accomplished writer, having authored two books, including Poetry for Funerals, supporting both celebrants and families in creating meaningful end of life ceremonies.
As a co creator of the internationally recognised and award winning TV pilot The Celebrant, and a recipient of an AACTA award, Kate brings a strong creative perspective to her role as a judge, particularly in storytelling, presence, and emotional impact.
