Oh, hey! I’m Jacqua. Since 2016, I’ve been a non-traditional marriage celebrant. I’ve worked with over 500 couples and have plenty of incredible stories to tell. Based in Wollongong, you’ll mostly find me on the South Coast, Sydney and the Southern Highlands.

When I’m not being a celebrant, I’m an ocean-swimming wanderer who loves nothing more than planning my next adventure (or yours). I’ve travelled throughout Australia, over 60 other countries and still dreaming of more!

I tend to marry couples who are unconventional and a little quirky – lovers who want a creative and inclusive wedding that reflects their distinct sense of style.

My absolute favourite thing about being a celebrant is getting to know you. I love spending time with you so I can share your unique story and fun insights with your family and friends. Ultimately, I’m here to create meaningful moments you’ll treasure forever.

Eloping? Getting hitched away from home? I’m also happy to travel around NSW, within Australia and overseas too. I’m free to roam!

I feel we’ll be a good fit if you love a laugh, you’re a bit left of centre, you believe the ceremony is as important as the party, you rather a meaningful ceremony and you want a seamless lead-up and stress-free event.

Being chosen to be your celebrant is a privilege.

As your celebrant, it’s my job to facilitate the style and type of wedding you wish to have.

To create the atmosphere, mood, and feeling you want to have on your wedding day.

It’ll be available to you both from the moment you book with me to discuss any thoughts and ideas you may have (and I love hearing these), as well as any questions or concerns you may have.

Your wedding can be large, small, elegant, inventive, traditional, informal, and/or creative.
Truly, the world is your oyster.

As long as the legal requirements are met before, during, and after your wedding ceremony (and your celebrant is responsible for making sure of that), there is no “right” or “wrong.”

There are no “rules.”

There is only what feels right and comfortable for the two of you.

I am meticulous and professional, a double, triple, and quadruple checker of details.

I enjoy all the people, families, grandmothers, aunts, nieces, nephews, little ones, and friends (including all types of pets) that I meet, and the stories I learn.

I enjoy engaging your guests during the ceremony and on the day.

Before celebrancy, my three main hats were public relations, working with children with learning and behavioural difficulties, music teaching, and professional scriptwriting.

I’ve been a celebrant since 2013.

My job = Joyous.

I am a licensed professional celebrant based on the NSW South Coast, I am currently living in Shell Cove which is not far from Wollongong, Kiama, Gerringong, Berry, Nowra, Kangaroo Valley, Jervis Bay, Mollymook & the southern highlands.  My travels as a celebrant take me near and far and you could say that every wedding is like a new adventure.  I love being a wedding celebrant and love what it brings to my life.   I am passionate that all my ceremonies are personal no matter the size of the wedding, whatever or wherever the occasion; be a beach, boho, country or a classic style wedding.  Each wedding should be a truly individual meaningful memory.   I am available for weddings, vow renewals, commitment ceremonies, baby namings and funerals.  30 years ago I created a dance school.
