Rock Wilson—Perth celebrant, mum and self-taught AI whiz—showed how ChatGPT can slash admin time for celebrants. She demoed creating a quick brand prompt, then used her free “Ghosty” bot to turn a couple’s questionnaire into a fully-legalled ceremony script in minutes. Rock also covered using ChatGPT for emails, social posts and even recipe ideas, stressing that AI handles the words while the celebrant still delivers the heart. Key tip: feed it your tone and let it ask follow-up questions—then tweak until it sounds exactly like you.

AMC’s governance working group agreed to delay releasing the updated constitution until revamped job-descriptions (including a new governance/finance role and public-officer duties) are finished and aligned with the association’s digital operations. Zero accounting was rolled out and a full insurance review—plus quotes from new brokers— is under way; costly annual audits may no longer be required. Regional-co-ordinator handbooks are being rewritten, and a separate April workshop will let exec members refine all position descriptions before the May committee meeting.

Professional celebrant Martin Moroney showed how offering reception-MC services can double your fee while boosting guest experience. Key moves: arrive early, swap into “party” attire for a visual pattern-interrupt, run the night from a detailed run-sheet, and coordinate venue, DJ, photographers and speeches so timing stays tight. Position yourself as a facilitator (not a joke-teller), work the room to keep energy up, veto risky trends like sparkler exits, and end with a managed “circle-of-honour” send-off so guests leave on a high.
