I am a confident presenter and public speaker with a wealth of experience as an actor, singer and MC. I have been working professionally in musical theatre, television, film and children’s entertainment for over twenty years. This background in entertainment gives me the skills required to carefully craft your ceremony, rehearse and present it with the enjoyable energy that such a special day deserves. And the content is up to you! There are a few legal requirements that have to be followed but for the most part, you decide what kind of ceremony you will have, and I will help you make it happen.

Creating and officiating wedding ceremonies is a tremendous honour, it’s a privilege to be involved in marrying couples.
For many years I worked in event styling and wedding planning. Too regularly I would find myself watching the ceremonies (often while ugly crying) and being totally engrossed from start to finish. I loved every minute of it.
After completing a Bachelor of Business in Event Management I said goodbye to the wedding industry and dived head first into the wonderful world of corporate events. Although I enjoyed the direction my career took I couldn’t help but miss weddings, the emotional side of celebrations and being included in those special moments. You’re probably a few wines deep into profiles of celebrants that are “committed to making your wedding personal, romantic and meaningful”, and people that are “people people with a passion for life”. The real challenge would be finding a celebrant that hates love, doesn’t want to “create the most memorable day for you and your family”, and isn’t going to “embrace your ideas, your quirks and unique personality to craft a script befitting of your special occasion”…

I’m in my very late early 30s, and can be hilarious, dignified, meaningful, respectful and/or fun. I have suits in literally every colour and others in weird and wonderful patterns if you want to have a bit of fun with things. I keep my rates more affordable than the average because I have a good time with it, and offer package discounts for Divorce Ceremonies taken before your Silver Anniversary. After that they’re just free because you’d deserve a break.

I’m a life celebrant, so you could keep me around to name your first child, renew your vows and bury your partner after they forget to rinse their plate one too many times. Think of me as that uncle that left your auntie to go find himself in Europe but manages to still appear uninvited to every event in your life.

As a strapping young lad, I’m good with computers and those smart phones that all the youngsters play on. If you need to live-stream the ceremony to that auntie’s new partner who lives in India but is working quickly towards permanent residency, I’ve got the Zoom account that lets you have meetings over 40 minutes… I’ll hook you up…

Anthony has had a distinguished career as an educator and linguist.  He attained his PhD in Education and Linguistics at the University of Nottingham, UK in 1988.  He speaks fluent English, Putonghua and Cantonese.

Getting Married  Under the Marriage Act 1961 there are certain obligations that you, as a couple intending to get married, must meet prior to a marriage ceremony being solemnised.
A Notice of Intended Marriage (NIM) must be lodged with me  no less than one month and no more than eighteen months prior to the marriage being solemnised.
Notice of Intended Marriage form would be completed at your first meeting  and the required documentation must be produced Parties to a marriage must produce evidence of date and place of birth and this can be done by producing a birth certificate, drivers licence or an Australian or Overseas passport. In the case of persons previously married, an original copy of your Divorce Certificate or, if applicable a Court Annulment Certificate; the case of widowhood, an original copy of the Death Certificate must be produced. These documents MUST be produced before the marriage can take place. It is essential that you allow yourself adequate time to acquire them if you have misplaced them.
Prior to your wedding, both parties will be required to sign a declaration, under the Marriage Act 1961, stating that you believe there is no legal impediment to the marriage between yourself and your partner. This is a legal document and calls for honesty at all times. Penalties may apply for false or misleading information.

As an authorised Marriage Celebrant, it is my role to ensure all the legal paperwork is correctly done and that the ceremony is performed in accordance with Australian law. All of your requirements and any likes or dislikes – providing we observe all legal requirements, will be considered.If you wish to design your own vows, I can help guide you on ways to construct those also.After receiving your booking confirmation and deposit, you will then be emailed a rough draft of the ceremony wording to review and comment on. This usually takes a lot of feedback from both parties, and I have found email to be an invaluable tool for this very requirement. It’s my aim for you to be totally happy with the end product, so you will not be limited to a particular number of communications.Around a week before the wedding, I will meet with you for pre ceremony sign offs and a rehearsal (if required) either onsite or at home. That way everyone knows where they will be standing etc on the big day – and it also gives us an opportunity to iron out any changes / alterations etc if any.I have a PA system so everyone present will be able to hear your ceremony, as well as a table with white cloth and covered chair for use to sign the certificates.At the end of the ceremony, you will be officially presented with your Marriage Certificate and I will leave a keepsake copy of the ceremony words for you to have as a memorial of the day.After the ceremony, I will lodge your marriage with the relevant Registry of Births Deaths and Marriages office and apply for your Registered Marriage Certificate on your behalf at the same time.All feedback is important to me in the quest for constant improvement, so I will provide you with a feedback form (post ceremony) for your valuable comments. My ambition is to make your day truly wonderful.
