I am passionate about life and learning, and my careers have evolved with my zest for life and my training. I hold a master’s degree in counselling and psychotherapy. I enjoyed working in the role of helping people live their best life.
This transitioned into walking beside people during their grief of losing a loved one, and I became a funeral celebrant. Because of my love of life and people, I was approached to do weddings, and that has brought me to where I am today. It is a rewarding experience to see the pure joy of a newlywed couple, knowing I have helped create their special day.

From the 1st phone call Elise made us feel special. She listened to what we had planned and suggested ideas. Even though we had a small backyard wedding she still meet with us and found out our likes and dislikes to make the day special. All our guests loved her too and she even had a toast of wine with us as well!! Highly recommend.

Alan and I had the absolute pleasure of arranging our wedding with the wonderful Elise Childs.
Elise was extremely professional, efficient and supportive but more importantly she dealt with us in a truly warm and personal manner which made our special day even more special. She wrote our service with beautiful personal notes and some fun anecdotes and it was perfect.
We had many changes and circumstances thrown at us trying to plan during the Covid time and Elise was so accommodating and supportive during this time. So accommodating in fact that given the latest change with COVID at the time we arranged to have a “pop up” wedding with an hour’s notice - this didn’t phase the lovely Elise at all - she was at our home within 45 minutes, our family arrived and we had a truly wonderful personal service.
We love Elise so much we have invited her to conduct our ring ceremony at our reception later in the year. She gets to marry us twice
