I am based in Melbourne to perform civil and/or Poruwa ceremonies. I have also travelled overseas to perform my unique Poruwa ceremonies. My aim is to ensure that your marriage ceremony is all that you desire and leaves lasting and beautiful memories of one of the most important days in your lives.

Prabhati’s warm, engaging manner, passion and enthusiasm really shone through as she conducted such a beautiful ceremony with reciting/ singing the ‘Ashtakas’/ blessings and prayers to bless us in marriage, as well as clearly explain in English to our mixed audience the significance of each ceremonial act and ritual performed during the Poruwa ceremony. This was particularly important since my English husband’s family had never witnessed a Poruwa ceremony before and were unable to attend the only rehearsal we had prior to the wedding to know what was involved. We were equally impressed that she effortlessly blended in the Western civil ceremony in with the Poruwa ceremony.
It goes without saying that our ceremony was incredibly moving, special and unique not only for us, but for our guests alike thanks to Prabhati’s personalized touch. We could not have wished for a more perfect way to be united in marriage as husband and wife. Thank-you Prabhati for help making our wedding as incredible as it was. Thank you very much for the beautiful and informative Poruwa ceremony at our son’s wedding in Colombo. Thank you also for travelling all the way to Sri Lanka and offering to conduct it for us - the last wedding in our family as you had done it for our son and daughter earlier. Everyone was very appreciative of the ceremony - Sri Lankans, Indians, Australians and other nationalities alike. Most Sri Lankans (young and not so young) commented that it was one poruwa ceremony that they didn't find boring! Thank you also for accommodating everyone's wishes.
