Marion Baird recently married Marcus and I in Bellevue Park, Sydney. From the minute we began our first meeting, we were delighted with her light hearted but compassionate approach to our needs and wishes. She is one bubbly lady which is incredibly infectious (a great energy to have at your wedding). Throughout the lead up to and the actual day of our important ceremony, she was absolutely professional, with exacting communication and a stress free manne r- we never once doubted her ability as a Celebrant. We were also very honoured to hear at the completion of our ceremony, so many guests commenting on her incredible articulation, voice, and friendly vibe. She "performed" our ceremonial script to absolute perfection,and even got a couple of laughs too! We love to tell the story of our pre-wedding to anyone who will listen, and fortunately Marion had a lot to do with it. The long story short is that Marion organised a reunion that got us together again after 18+ yrs (but who's counting) - and a lot of romantic coincidences, so it was only natural to ask this incredibly energetic, bubbly & vivacious lady to marry us! Everything that Marion arranged was always without stress and all communication was done with a professional and relaxed mood - even when she was chasing us for important paperwork at the last second as we found out that we were expecting a baby so there was slight chaos in moving the wedding earlier, getting a new wedding dress, etc. etc. It was certainly poignant to have Marion marry us as she has become a close friend to both of us and this made the ceremony an informal yet professional, humorous yet teary and thoroughly enjoyable occasion for all. We were hesitant to begin with to use Marion as she was a friend but I couldn't recommend anyone more highly as she added fun & love to our wedding that I didn't think could have had more love. Marion was a bridesmaid at my first wedding - I've known Marion since we were in school together and had no hesitation in asking her to provide her services for my second wedding. It made our day extra special knowing how well we would be looked after. Her attention to details and willingness to put us first relieved a lot of the stress that can come with a day where families are "blended" So special. Can't recommend her enough. We were also lucky enough to have her marry one of my daughters as well. Family Celebrant!
