我是Sharon，是经澳洲政府婚姻部门授权，位于墨尔本的民事婚姻监礼人，证婚人(MARRIAGE CELEBRANT MELBOURNE)。

其次，在澳洲注册结婚和在中国很不同。大家都知道，在中国结婚注册就是双方去民政局办理手续，当天就能拿到结婚证了。但是在澳洲，要结婚需要在婚礼前的至少一个月，或18个月以内通知我们的婚姻注册官Marriage Celebrant 或者到政府的Registry of Birth, Deaths and Marriages 部门填写好婚前意向书 Notice of Intended Marriage （NOIM）。
在政府那里登记结婚和在我们这里登记结婚注册都是一样有法律效应的。然而在我们这里登记，你们有更多的时间和地点上的选择，在政府那里登记是没有的。并且我们提供中文结婚注册服务(CHINESE MARRIAGE CELEBRANT SERVICE)。
NOIM 的含义就是来申报一下有结婚的这个意向，在我们这里登记结婚，双方可以选择自定时间和地点来举行法律上有效的婚礼仪式，在政府那里登记结婚只有时间上的选择，其他的都没有选择，而且要至少提前一个月以上交表也不一定能排到你想要的好日子。填完NOIM以后，双方需要等待一个月的冷静期结束后才能举行婚礼，冷静期内是不能举行婚礼仪式的。 如果填写完NOIM的18个月以后还没有举行婚礼，NOIM就会自动作废。如果单方或者双方改变结婚的意向，可以随时通知注册官来作废NOIM。详见注册指南。
