Led by President Joy Allen, this dynamic group combines diverse professional backgrounds, including journalism, legal practice, public relations, and business management, all unified by their passion for celebrancy. Committed to innovation, member communication, and operational excellence, our new committee is here to support, inspire, and propel AMC members towards greater success. Your President
Joy Allen
Owner of Joyful Occasions, Joy has been a proud AMC Member since 2006, plus a career journalist, crisis management, regulatory and compliance specialist. She was elected AMC President in mid-March 2025.
With the new AMC objects, code of conduct and Constitution in place, Joy is working to streamline AMC operations and together with the AMC Committee members, delivering best-value Celebrant membership support. Ph 0407 304 236
Your Vice President
Kamal Al Saliby
Kamal is our rockstar vice-president who brings her calm, considered voice to AMC Committee discussions.
These traits have also made her an awesome celebrant for many couples since 2008.
Kamal is based in Sydney’s Sutherland Shire.
Your Secretary
Mandy Taylor
Since 2013 Mandy has operated her Celebrant business, initially in Sydney, then Port Stephens and now calls Merriwa in regional NSW, ‘home’.
Mandy brings corporate and administrative experience to the AMC Secretary role, following her appointment in December 2025. She brings a sharp mind and equally sharp wit to the volunteer committee, and will be keeping us on track and focussed to ensure we deliver to our wonderful Celebrant members.

Brian Daniels
As a great career public relations professional, Brian knows you must have your house in order before you speak publicly!
Brian is now applying his PR skills to ensure the AMC finances are in order and delivering best value for AMC Celebrants. He lives in Sydney’s north-west and has officiated at hundreds of weddings since 2008.

Alexandra Bradley
Alexandra’s a solicitor who lives in Sydney CBD where she runs a legal practice, as well as delivering wonderful weddings since 2018 for her celebrant clients.
Her top 2 priorities for AMC are improving member communications and stopping BDM competing against civil celebrants. Stay tuned!

Ash Reynolds
We want more Ash’s in AMC! He operates several businesses using his guru tech and marketing skills, plus he’s a passionate celebrant with a drive for modernisation and innovation.
Refreshing AMC’s image, helping to champion a celebrant awards program and delivering the best return on investment for Members, is keeping Ash on the edge of his seat!
Oh! And he has more degrees than a thermometer – a Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing & Management), a Bachelor of Communications, a Bachelor of Psychology, and a Master’s in Anthropology. He gained his celebrancy hat in 2019.

Heather Taylor
A Celebrant since 2012, Heather is in Sydney’s inner west. She came along to the 2024 AGM to network and ended up volunteering for our Committee! Woo hoo!

A Celebrant newbie appointed in December 2024, Jennifer brings her fresh Celebrant eyes to our AMC offering. This adds great balance to our Committee.
Jennifer brings a strong background in communication, small business management as an employee, then business owner in Melbourne.

As a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) operator, Jill exudes passion, professionalism and dedication to the Australian marriage celebrant industry and AMC.
Her can-do energy is infectious! Jill is the powerhouse behind AMC’s online education offerings that benefit members throughout Australia.

Shannon Davies
Shannon brings both simplicity and excellent attention to detail to AMC. As a small business owner in a competitive, technical space in Victoria, Shannon is a great multi-tasker and keeps the AMC Committee on track to better serve Members.
Appointed a Celebrant in December 2023, Shannon makes wedding ceremonies and AMC activities, happen with professional flare!
