Australian Marriage Celebrants Inc. (AMC) brings marriage celebrants together across Australia. We are a not-for-profit association, led by members. We represent our members’ interests with governments and policy makers, and promote professional marriage celebrancy.
For celebrants, that means education, practical support and a community to turn to. For couples, it means a place to find a registered celebrant and understand the journey to getting married.

Our beginnings
The Australian Civil Marriage Celebrants Association began around 1993–1994.

A formal association
The association was incorporated on 20 July 1995.

Becoming AMC
The association became known as Australian Marriage Celebrants Inc. (AMC), the name we continue to use today.
