That means you’re free to:

  • Dress in costume, cosplay, or casual wear

  • Choose a specific theme (e.g. vintage, sci-fi, boho, fantasy)

  • Incorporate personal rituals, readings, or storytelling

  • Walk down the aisle to your favourite movie soundtrack—or skip the aisle altogether!

What’s legally required:

  • Your celebrant must say the Monitum (legal explanation of marriage)

  • You and your partner must say the legal vow aloud, using the correct words

  • Two adult witnesses must be present
